Satapada is situated at the northeastern tip of the Bay of Bengal and Chilika Lake. Here you can witness the renowned Chilika dolphins in their most untamed state. There are also lots of chances for boating, kayaking, and canoeing. This location is close to Rajahamsa, a small island at the lagoon’s mouth. It bears the name of the mute swan, Rajahamsa. 18 kilometers separate this island and Satapada. Rajahans is a narrow strip of land with one side facing the Bay of Bengal and the other next to the lagoon.
While certain migratory bird species relocate to the Nalabana bird sanctuary, migratory birds do not frequently visit Satapada. Traveling by boat from Satapada to Nalaban takes about four hours.
